I simply must credit Desiree Lynn Adaway for her thoughts on making sure relationships are not transactional but rather transformational (she was speaking specifically about relationships with people of color). This was still on my mind when I spoke about the people in my life who've helped me find some focus for what I'd like to share and cultivate here.
I was trying to say relationships are meant to be mutually edifying. But I was awkward. *shrug*
