Articulate, a Shatter & Gather Poem

Anna pic, articulate poem

My words are not always pretty

My words are not always saturated in rainbow hues

Tasting of candy-coated sweetness

They fall from my mouth heavy and blunt

Spoken in moments too soft to bear their weight

My emotions string together words

no one knows how to decipher

No one wants to hear

They are too much

Too complicated

Too sensitive

Too direct

Too profane

Too me.
